Matthew Spicer

 

Matthew has over 25 years of experience in Multi-Element Behaviour Support, enhancing the quality of life for people with complex needs. His background spans both government and private sectors, including senior clinical management in disability and out-of-home care services.

He is a founding member of Behaviour Support Practitioners Australia and the National Therapeutic Residential Care Alliance. He is also on the National Advisory Group for ‘Seasons for Life,’ and an advisory board member for the IABA Foundation.

Matthew has presented at national and international conferences on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Trauma Informed Practice and has published related book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. He specialises in reducing restrictive practices through Non-Aversive Reactive Strategies and is an accomplished speaker, trainer, and supervisor in PBS.
