CPBS Teams Up with Helping Hand Program – #bethechange

The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support (CPBS) is proud to announce a new partnership with Helping Hands, a unique team-building program that allows employees to give back in a meaningful way.

This innovative program goes beyond traditional team-building activities. Participants work together to build prosthetic hands that are then donated to amputee landmine victims in the developing world.

Here’s how it works:

  • Teams of 3-6 people receive a kit containing materials and instructions to build a prosthetic hand.
  • A video at the beginning of the activity reveals the purpose, adding an emotional connection for participants.
  • Some participants may choose to bind one hand during the build process to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by recipients.
  • Once complete, teams decorate the container holding the hand, adding a personal touch for the recipient.
  • A debriefing session explores themes like purpose, collaboration, and customer focus, all relevant to the workplace.
  • Finally, a video showcases the impact of the program, leaving participants feeling energized and inspired.

Benefits for Your Team:

  • Boosts morale and engagement: Employees experience the satisfaction of making a real difference in someone’s life.
  • Enhances teamwork and communication: Participants work together to overcome challenges and achieve a common goal.
  • Promotes creativity and problem-solving skills: The hands are built using innovative design principles.
  • Provides a unique learning experience: The program raises awareness about global issues and the power of collaboration.

CPBS is committed to fostering positive and purposeful workplaces. The Helping Hands program aligns perfectly with our mission, allowing employees to connect with each other and make a lasting impact on the world.
