Meet Jacqueline Abela DeGiovanni – The Driving Force Behind CPBS’s Regional Success in SA, ACT & WA

Jacqueline Abela DeGiovanni, Head of Regional Services at CPBSJacqueline serves as the Head of Regional Services at The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support in South Australia (SA), Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Western Australia (WA). With over 27 years of dedicated service in the disability field, Jacq possesses extensive clinical expertise coupled with significant managerial experience. She earned her foundational education with a Diploma in Education from Malta and continued to enhance her academic credentials with a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Sheffield, UK, a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy from Kent, UK, a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Belfast, Ireland, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Strategy from Australia. 

Throughout her career, Jacq has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Her clinical insights, honed over nearly three decades, are complemented by her strategic leadership skills, making her a pivotal figure in shaping positive outcomes within CPBS. Jacq’s comprehensive approach blends academic rigor with practical application, ensuring effective management of her team and fostering environments that promote holistic development and well-being. Jacq holds an Advanced Practitioner Suitability Level as a Positive Behaviour Practitioner and her role also include providing expert consultation on complex cases to achieve positive behavioural outcomes.
