Dr Geoff Potter

Geoff Potter is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and a leading practitioner in Positive Behaviour Support, bringing more than 30 years of experience to the field.

Geoff's career reflects his commitment to helping individuals and advancing the practice of behaviour support. He specialises in Constructional Non-Linear Multi-Element Behaviour Support and has a particular interest in non-aversive situational support and understanding how different environments influence behaviour.

His research and professional work have contributed to the development of Positive Behaviour Support practice, and he has shared his knowledge through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences.

Geoff has also contributed to the broader behaviour support sector through advisory and governance roles. He has served as an advisor for the IABA International Research and Education Foundation, as a board member of Behaviour Support Practitioners Australia, and as an advisor to Autism Swim.

His expertise has also reached broader audiences through media, including the ABC television series Dreamhouse, where he contributed to discussions about the experiences of people with intellectual disability transitioning from the family home.
