The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support - CPBS team in Brisbane is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities and their support networks. Our experienced practitioners are passionate about creating lasting, positive outcomes, and they specialise in helping participants reduce behaviours of concern while building the skills and confidence needed for greater independence.
Service Areas
Our mobile team provides face-to-face support in homes, schools, and community settings across South East Queensland. This includes Brisbane City and the surrounding areas of Redlands City, Logan City, Ipswich City, Moreton Bay, and the Gold Coast. As well as Hervey Bay and Maryborough on the Fraser Coast.

Our Approach to Positive Behaviour Support
We believe that effective support is tailored to the individual. Our approach is built on evidence-based practices, and we work collaboratively with you, your family, and your support network to understand your unique needs, goals, and environment. We focus on:
- Understanding Behaviours: We'll gather and analyse data to understand what triggers behaviours and how we can support you.
- Developing a Tailored Plan: We create a collaborative plan with positive, individualised strategies and tools.
- Empowering Your Network: We provide support and training for your family and support network so they are equipped to help you in the most effective way.

What to Expect
When you work with us, our process is designed to be straightforward and supportive.
- Initial Meeting: A practitioner will meet with you in a comfortable location, such as your home. We'll get to know you and answer any questions you have.
- Getting to Know You: We'll learn about your strengths, skills, and goals. With your consent, we may also speak with relevant medical or allied health professionals to ensure we have a complete picture.
- Developing Your Plan: We will work with you to develop a collaborative plan that includes strategies tailored to your unique needs. We always ask for your feedback to ensure the strategies feel right for you.

Head of Regional Services (QLD, NSW, NT)
Nicole is the Head of Regional Services for Queensland, New South Wales Coast and the Northern Territory. With over 17 years of experience across early intervention, specialised education and positive behaviour support, Nicole brings a strong blend of clinical expertise, strategic leadership and operational oversight.

Becky has been a practicing BCBA since 2021 and has supported adults in the field of behaviour support since 2008. Relocating to Australia in 2023 to join CPBS, she is passionate about implementing evidence-based practices through a human rights approach.

Abeer is a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Certified Behaviour Analyst with more than 10 years of experience supporting children with autism and developmental differences across a range of settings.
Her work is person-centred and focuses on helping children build practical skills in communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and daily living. She values working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to implement strategies that are realistic and effective within everyday routines.
Abeer aims to create clear, structured and supportive environments that promote learning, reduce stress and improve quality of life for participants and the people around them.
Ally
Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South (BCBA, CBA)

Ally is a passionate Behaviour Analyst and Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner with more than 12 years of experience across Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural Intervention and Positive Behaviour Support.
She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science in Psychology and a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis from Monash University. Ally is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board and a Certified Behaviour Analyst through the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia.
Ally began her career in early intervention, supporting children up to nine years of age, and now applies evidence-based behavioural science with people across ages and backgrounds. She is dedicated to providing neurodiversity-affirming, data-driven supports in natural settings that are tailored to each person’s needs.
She is deeply committed to capacity building through training and coaching for educators, families and support staff. Ally promotes collaboration and consistency across settings and takes pride in mentoring early-career clinicians while upholding high standards of professional practice.
Belinda
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Gold Coast (CBA)
Qualifications: Bachelor of Psychological Science; Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology; Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis; Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA)
Belinda is a Gold Coast-based Behaviour Support Practitioner with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis, which she completed in 2023. She also became a Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2023.
She has more than 10 years of experience in early intervention with autistic children aged approximately two-and-a-half to six years. Although Belinda is especially passionate about supporting younger children, she is also interested in expanding her experience with older adults.
Belinda values recognising each participant’s small wins and finds it highly rewarding to see the progress they make over time.
Bernie
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Health Science
Bernie is a Brisbane-based Behaviour Support Practitioner at The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support with a career spanning multiple roles across complex mental health and disability services.
After beginning as a support worker, she progressed through service management, supervision and training roles. Her experience includes developing and delivering recovery-oriented mental health practice training across Brisbane and Gold Coast workforces.
Bernie’s passion for behaviour support was also shaped by her experience as a parent of neurodivergent children, giving her both professional expertise and genuine personal insight. Although working with young people remains her favourite area of practice, she also has significant experience supporting adults with complex dual diagnoses across mental health and disability.
Her participants and their families benefit from a practitioner who understands the sector from multiple perspectives and appreciates what meaningful, individualised support looks like.
Brittany
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Ipswich (CBA-U)

Brittany is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with CPBS. She holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
She has more than three years of experience in early intervention and over one-and-a-half years of experience in behaviour support. Brittany is currently working towards becoming a Certified Behaviour Analyst.
She enjoys working closely with individuals and families to understand their strengths and develop practical strategies that support positive outcomes and improve quality of life. One of the most rewarding aspects of her role is celebrating the small wins and progress participants make along the way.
Outside work, Brittany enjoys arts and crafts, trying new activities and cafés, and playing games with friends and family.
Caitlin
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South and Gold Coast
Qualifications: Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours)
Caitlin is a Behaviour Support Practitioner based on the southern Gold Coast. She has experience supporting young children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, as well as older adults experiencing cognitive and age-related barriers.
With a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and previous experience as a support worker, outside-school-hours care educator and Behaviour Therapist with CPBS, Caitlin brings a broad and practical perspective to behaviour support. She prioritises strong relationships with participants and positive rapport with parents and other stakeholders.
As a neurodivergent practitioner, Caitlin also brings personal understanding of the experiences and challenges associated with neurodivergence. She works alongside participants to build on their strengths while addressing areas for development through evidence-based, participant-centred approaches.
Caitlin is known for her bright, conversational personality and warm, friendly manner. Outside work, she enjoys reading, arts and crafts, playing Nintendo Switch and visiting new cafés with friends.
Claire
Complex Case Specialist, Brisbane South — Maternity Leave (BCBA, CBA)

Claire is a Complex Case Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in behaviour support and a diverse international background in the field.
She began her career in Ireland supporting adults before moving to Boston, where she worked with teenagers and young people. For the past decade, Claire has been based in Australia, initially focusing on young people and more recently expanding her practice to support people across all age groups.
Donna
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South
Qualifications: Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management); Graduate Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis
Donna has more than 10 years of experience in the disability sector, supporting people with autism, diverse needs and complex behaviours, including people living in supported independent living arrangements.
She is passionate about working collaboratively with people with disability, their families and their support teams to ensure positive behaviour strategies and interventions are inclusive, rights-based and empowering. Her goal is to help each person build on their strengths and abilities to achieve meaningful outcomes and richer life experiences.
Donna is committed to her ongoing professional development as a Behaviour Support Practitioner and is currently completing a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis at Griffith University.
Eden
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Logan and Ipswich
Qualifications: Bachelor of Psychological Science
Eden is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Brisbane’s south-west and a postgraduate student completing a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis at Griffith University. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approaches, with a strong commitment to improving quality of life through compassionate and collaborative support.
She has experience supporting children, adolescents and their families with complex behavioural presentations, while also considering the broader family, social and environmental factors that influence behaviour. Eden collaborates with participants, families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, individualised strategies that build meaningful skills, strengthen relationships and promote lasting positive outcomes.
Eden is passionate about translating behavioural science into everyday practice and believes the best outcomes are achieved when families feel heard, empowered and actively involved. She is also committed to ongoing professional development and research, with current interests in applying behaviour-analytic principles to understanding and treating behaviours associated with domestic and family violence.
Gillian
Assistant Regional Clinical Manager, Queensland (BCBA, CBA)
Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts, double major in Psychology and Bioarchaeological Anthropology; Master of Applied Disability Studies; BCBA; CBA; Behaviour Support Practitioner (Advanced)
Gillian’s journey into behaviour support began in 2011 when she volunteered at an early intervention centre for autistic children in Canada. This experience sparked a deep passion for the field and led her to complete a postgraduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science, followed by a Master of Applied Disability Studies.
She became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2019 and has practised in both Canada and Australia. In 2023, Gillian also earned the Certified Behaviour Analyst designation through the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia.
Gillian has supported people from two years of age to over 30 in both individual and group settings. She enjoys working across centres, schools, homes and community environments and is passionate about delivering meaningful, person-centred support across all stages of life.
Helene
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane North and Moreton Bay
Qualifications: Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology)
Helene is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support, based in North Brisbane and Moreton Bay. She holds degrees in Psychology and Social Work and is expected to complete a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis in 2026.
She has more than 15 years of experience as a social worker across community care, community rehabilitation, hospital and residential aged-care settings. Helene has a particular interest in supporting older adults with dementia and also brings lived experience as the parent of a son diagnosed with autism and ADHD.
Lorraine
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South and Ipswich (BCBA, CBA, DE)
Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts; Master of Arts; Master of Autism; Graduate Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis; Board Certified Behaviour Analyst; Certified Behaviour Analyst; Developmental Educator
Lorraine is a Behaviour Support Practitioner whose journey into positive behaviour support began through her lived experience supporting her autistic son, who communicates through behaviours, including behaviours that may not always be socially accepted. This experience taught her the importance of understanding the underlying causes of behaviour and inspired her to pursue formal study and professional practice in evidence-based, collaborative and person-centred support.
Lorraine holds a Master of Arts, a Master of Autism and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Certified Behaviour Analyst and Developmental Educator. Her professional background includes medical and community interpreting, Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural Intervention and Positive Behaviour Support.
She is passionate about supporting each person and their family in ways that recognise cultural diversity, strengths, interests, communication style and sensory preferences.
Mariana
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South
Qualifications: Bachelor of Psychological Science
Mariana has extensive experience in disability and mental health services, supporting people with diverse needs and complex behaviours. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science, which has strengthened her understanding of human behaviour and her commitment to evidence-based, person-centred practice.
Her passion for this work is deeply personal. Growing up with siblings who have disabilities inspired Mariana to pursue a career dedicated to helping others live meaningful and fulfilling lives. She is motivated by a genuine desire to make a positive difference through compassion, dignity and collaborative support.
Mercy
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Moreton Bay — Maternity Leave (BCBA, CBA)

Mercy is a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Certified Behaviour Analyst and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
She has three-and-a-half years of experience working as a Behaviour Analyst with autistic children aged two to six. Since joining The Centre for Positive Behaviour Support, Mercy has broadened her experience to support both children and adults with a range of disabilities.
Her favourite aspects of behaviour support include hearing about participants’ wins and successes and incorporating each participant’s preferred interests and activities into sessions so that learning can also be enjoyable.
Narissara
Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane North (BCBA, CBA)

Narissara, known as Narissa, is a Brisbane-based Behaviour Support Practitioner and Behaviour Analyst with more than six years of experience supporting children and adolescents in Australia. She has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2020 and is also a Certified Behaviour Analyst.
Narissa began her career in Thailand in 2010, working in early intervention and developing a strong passion for supporting young children through Applied Behaviour Analysis. Her career later took her to England and Hong Kong, where she worked in schools supporting children with a broad range of developmental, learning and behavioural needs.
Since moving to Australia, Narissa has continued to build her clinical experience with children and young people up to 15 years of age. Her background includes Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention, Naturalistic Developmental Behavioural Interventions and Positive Behaviour Support.
She is committed to ethical, evidence-based and person-centred supports that create meaningful, practical and lasting outcomes. Narissa especially values transdisciplinary collaboration and strong partnerships with families, educators and key stakeholders, recognising that the best outcomes occur when everyone works together to support each person’s goals, independence and quality of life.
Olivia
Behaviour Support Practitioner, Brisbane South and Logan

Olivia, also known as Liv, is a Brisbane-based Behaviour Support Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science in Psychology and is currently completing a Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
She is passionate about applying the knowledge and skills gained through her education and professional experience to create meaningful and positive change in people’s lives. Olivia values empathy, patience, positivity and encouragement as central elements of her approach.
Her previous experience includes supporting young autistic people in school and childcare settings, which helped shape her person-centred practice. She enjoys supporting people across the lifespan and from varied backgrounds and is committed to advocating for their best interests, growth and positive outcomes.
Renee

Renee is a Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Brisbane’s Bayside area. She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science in Psychology and is currently completing Honours in Psychology.
She is passionate about helping people live meaningful and fulfilling lives and is guided by empathy, unconditional positive regard, resilience and empowerment. Renee works alongside individuals and families to develop practical, person-centred strategies that build confidence, independence and meaningful change.
She has a particular interest in supporting children and young adults and enjoys finding engaging, interest-based ways to build connection and encourage growth. Her background includes work and volunteering in outside-school-hours care, science shows, performing arts workshops, personal training, group instruction and disability support.

Sarah

Sarah is an Advanced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner and Certified Behaviour Analyst with more than 15 years of experience across early intervention, school-based services and positive behaviour support. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and has supported people with a broad range of developmental, behavioural and support needs across the lifespan. She has also contributed to international training through her work with the Global Autism Project.
Sarah is passionate about neuroaffirming, evidence-based and person-centred supports that prioritise meaningful, functional and socially significant outcomes. She has led training and professional development for clinicians, educators and support teams, focusing on practical strategies that can be implemented in everyday environments.
She values collaboration and works closely with families, schools and multidisciplinary teams to build consistent and sustainable supports. Sarah also enjoys mentoring clinicians and promoting high standards of ethical practice.
Steve

Steve is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with 20 years of experience supporting people of all abilities across a variety of roles. This broad background has given him a practical understanding of different aspects of behaviour support.
He works closely with people who display behaviours of concern, their families and their support teams. Steve’s strengths include person-centred practice and objective advocacy to help the people he supports have their needs met at home and in the community.
He also values flexibility and constructive collaboration with broader stakeholder groups to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Thilini
Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, Logan (BCBA, CBA)

Thilini is a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner with 11 years of experience in behaviour support. She began her career in Sydney in 2015, supporting people across the lifespan, before moving to Brisbane to work with autistic individuals.
Her principal area of specialisation is early intervention, and she has eight years of experience supporting autistic children. Thilini is a Certified Behaviour Analyst and has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2022.
She enjoys supporting people across the lifespan and is committed to working with participants and families to achieve positive outcomes and support meaningful lives.
Yoon-Suk

Yoon-Suk is a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and Certified Behaviour Analyst. She uses person-centred and Mindfulness-Based Positive Behaviour Support approaches to empower the children and adults she supports and enhance their quality of life.
Her behaviour support practice is informed by more than 25 years of teaching and research experience across autism, developmental impairment, inclusion, education, wellbeing and mindfulness for behaviour self-management.
Yoon-Suk enjoys collaborating with children, adults, families and support teams to embed evidence-based behaviour support principles into everyday life.
