The PBS Training Focused Assessment is a targeted extension of the PBS Foundations training, designed to help schools apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) in real and meaningful ways.
Focused Assessment Package
This package supports deeper implementation by focusing on your school’s specific needs and guiding key staff through tailored coaching and planning.
It begins with a full-day PBS Foundations workshop to build baseline knowledge. After that, our team conducts a 15-hour school-wide PBS assessment. This includes reviewing current behaviour-related documents, observing current practice (such as PBL in action), and providing a detailed report with practical tools, templates, and tailored recommendations to strengthen your school’s framework.
Next, we offer up to 10 hours of 1:1 pre-coaching to help core PBS leaders or classroom teachers apply their learning with one or two key students. This hands-on support builds confidence and ensures the learning is used in real-life classroom situations.
The package also includes ongoing group coaching (up to 8 hours) for up to five key staff. These sessions are run in a supportive, supervision-style format and focus on students with tier 3 behaviour needs.
Structure Overview
- Provide the full day foundations workshop (6 hours)
- Classroom/school wide PBS assessment and recommendations with tools and templates (15 hours)
- Review of current documentation
- Observation of PBL in current form in action around school
- Report of recommendations to framework and documentation
- Pre Coaching and application – applying the learning from the workshop one or two key students with core PBL leads or classroom teacher 1:1
- Ongoing Coaching for key PBL staff (Max 5)
- Group “supervision” style with teachers for tier 3 students
Duration: Full day workshop, 15 hours of PBS assessment, 10 hours of pre coaching, 8 hours of coaching for one term.
