Positive Behaviour Support Training for Schools

Looking for Expert Positive Behaviour Support Training? Discover how CPBS can help educators!

About CPBS & Our Programs – CPBS is a national team of over 130 clinical professionals supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. They work closely with families, educators, and other key stakeholders to provide positive behaviour support, early intervention, psychology, positive behaviour support training and supervision services. Using a person-centred, strengths-based approach, CPBS assesses individual needs, develops tailored support plans, and offers training to help educators implement strategies effectively. Their evidence-based Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) model takes a holistic view, considering the student, their environment, and support network, to build practical programmes that foster skill development, inclusion, and improved outcomes in educational settings.

Positive Outcomes from CPBS Programme for Schools – The CPBS Programme offers a practical, evidence-informed way to turn theory into action and help your team create lasting, positive change in your school. This full programme is designed for teachers, learning support officers, and administrators working directly with students. With a strong mix of learning and hands-on support, your team will gain useful tools and strategies to make a real difference in the classroom.

Do you need special training to use PBS practices – All schools can benefit from ongoing learning in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). If you’re unsure of your school’s current needs, CPBS can assess your practices and help identify areas for improvement.

Positive Behaviour Support Training & Services: Tailored Support Options

Our PBS training for schools in Australia

Queensland – We engaged in a tender with a special school providing an individualised example of our comprehensive package. The school was engaged directly with a BSP for 10 hours per week across two school terms. Our BSP indicated that this support was valued by the staff and received feedback from the school staff that they now understood behaviour escalations within the classroom in a different way.

Victoria – We have developed partnerships with key department of education contacts to offer specialised behaviour support for more complex students. Additionally, we provide assistance for completion of Educational Needs Analyses which is a process undertaken to help to understand students social, emotional and cultural learning needs for children who are in Out of Home Care.

SA Tyndale – provides training and support in Adelaide educational settings (schools, kindergartens, childcare). A partnership with Tyndale Christian School has established a dedicated CPBS team for staff and students, enabling strong relationships and individualised support through staff collaboration, FBAs, BSPs, training, and skill-based assessments with tailored interventions.
