About Kara
Principal Psychologist
Kara is a caring and compassionate psychologist with 28 years of experience supporting children, teenagers, adults and families. She understands that life can sometimes feel overwhelming and works alongside her clients to help them build confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
Kara is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). She is a registered Medicare Australia Provider, registered NDIS Provider and Board-Approved Supervisor for provisionally registered psychologists. Kara is also an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Over the years, Kara has worked in many different settings including universities, community organisations, disability services, and private practice. She has experience supporting people with a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief and loss, trauma, attachment issues, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental and intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviours.
Kara has a special passion for working with children, adolescents and their families. She particularly enjoys supporting young people who may be experiencing emotional, behavioural, sensory, or attachment-related difficulties. Her approach is strengths-based and collaborative, focusing on building resilience and creating positive, lasting change.
To best meet the needs of each individual, Kara uses a variety of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Mindfulness approaches, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Play-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
At the heart of Kara’s work is a genuine commitment to creating a safe, supportive space where children, young people, adults and families feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward.
About Amy
Psychologist
Amy is a caring and supportive psychologist who is passionate about creating a safe space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and respected. She is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a registered Medicare Australia Provider, registered NDIS Provider and a full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi). Amy is also an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Amy takes a flexible, client-centred approach, working collaboratively with each person to build trust and a strong therapeutic relationship. She has experience supporting people of all ages and backgrounds in both community and clinical settings and brings warmth and understanding to her work.
She has a particular interest in helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), neurodivergence, psychosocial disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ experiences.

About Sophie
Psychologist
Sophie is a caring and collaborative psychologist who is passionate about supporting individuals to enhance their overall well-being and quality of life. She is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a registered Medicare Australia Provider, NDIS Provider, and a full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi). Sophie is also an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Sophie was raised in North Queensland and has lived in various parts of Australia as well as overseas, where she has worked with a wide range of people and presentations. Now based in Canberra, ACT, she is passionate about giving back to and supporting her local community.
Sophie enjoys working with individuals across all ages and backgrounds. Her approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and collaborative, focusing on achieving client-driven goals that foster growth, resilience, and positive change.
With a strong background in behaviour support and complex case management, Sophie brings valuable experience in working with individuals presenting with challenging or multifaceted psychological and behavioural needs. Her professional experience includes roles in adult community-based corrections, Youth Justice, and the Youth Diversion Court Team.

About Claire
Provisional Psychologist
Claire is a compassionate and collaborative practitioner with over five years of experience in the disability sector and a strong foundation in psychology, which she began studying in 2016. After completing her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), she discovered her passion for supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs and helping to create meaningful, lasting change through evidence-based practice.
Claire is a Provisional Psychologist, having recently completed her Master of Professional Psychology, including a placement in a regional primary school, where she provided assessment, intervention, and wellbeing support to children. She also has experience supporting NDIS participants across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults, working with individuals, families, and teams to build skills and enhance quality of life.
Her approach is person-centred, collaborative, and trauma-informed, drawing on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks. Claire is particularly interested in supporting individuals with complex behavioural presentations, emotional regulation challenges, and anxiety-related concerns. She is passionate about working with individuals and their support networks to enhance awareness, build practical skills, and nurture resilience, confidence, and long-term growth.
